Buffalo Bills have offered ahugely positive updateon the condition of safety Damar Hamlin after he collapsed on the field from cardiac arrest on January 2.
The statement reads: Per the physicians caring for Damar Hamlin at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, Damar has shown remarkable improvement over the past 24 hours.
While still critically ill, he has demonstrated that he appears to be neurologically intact. His lungs continue to heal and he is making steady progress. We are grateful for the love and support we have received.

Another update fromNFL Network reporter Ian Rapoportsays that the former University of Pittsburgh student opened his eyes and was responsive from Wednesday evening (January 4).
Rapoport added that Hamlin was also able to grip the hand of his loved ones who have been by his side since his collapse earlier in the week.
Those details comes after the 24-year-old, who received CPR on the field of play before the game was postponed, had to be resuscitated again in hospital.
His heart went out, they had to resuscitate it twice, his uncle Glenn said to CNN. They had to resuscitate him on the field and they had to resuscitate him again when he got to the hospital.

Since his collapse, more than $7million (5.89m) has been raised for a toy drive created by Hamlin in 2020, which had a target of just over 2000.
Hamlin collapsed onto his back after tackling Cincinnati Bengals receiver Tee Higgins in what was his 15th game of his second NFL season with the Bills.
That statement came shortly after Bills rookie Kaiir Elam had said that Hamlin has now awoken - and that his condition was improving.
Elam tweeted: Our boy is doing better, awake and showing more signs of improvement. Thank you God. Keep the prayers coming please. All love 3!.
